Up-to-Date

Where to begin? Well, I mentioned in my previous blog that I am "living the secret." Inspired by success stories of others, I started my own vision board with things I want to have or goals I want to accomplish. If you're not familiar with this vision board, it starts off with a big poster or bulletin board that you can place pictures on. They say to get pictures from unwanted magazines or print out pictures from the Internet in color, which I did. They also say that the pictures should be big so you can see your vision easily and that the vision board should be someplace where you can see it daily. Eventually, I'll post a picture of my vision board, but I still have more to add. I must say, the vision board is a powerful thing! =) I just have to continue looking at it a couple times a day and visualize already owning these things, and eventually, they will simply show up! ;) Here is what I have pictures of as of now:

*Canon Rebel XTI (check! thanks to my family!)
*Range Rover
*studio lighting and backdrop - for my future photography studio
*a bride & groom on the beach - my dream wedding
*a picture of Hawaii - whether visiting or living there
*a picture of the Big Ben to represent London & visiting my Grandma
*a picture of my skinny self - no explanation needed haha =P
*a picture representing friendship (I think this is a continuous goal - trying to constantly surround myself with great friends)
*a picture of a piggy bank to represent savings (check! thanks to the first time home buyers tax credit, we have an emergency fund)
*a picture of Rachael Ray so I can become a great cook (I'm still working on being great but I am definitely getting better at it than I was before)

Here is also a list I made awhile back, some of which I've already accomplished (in bold), but are still continuous goals. I have more to add - especially after looking at friends' 101 in 1001 lists -but here it is:

MENTAL
*Spend more quality & play time with Paris: BE A BETTER MOM.
*Teacher vs. IT field: FIND A JOB I LOVE.
*Take one or more photography classes/keep up with Photoshop.
*Learn how to cook.
*Learn more about finances and how to save money.
*Learn how to be INDEPENDENT.
*Read a variety of books.
*Pursue scrapbooking.
*Learn how to NOT be a pack rat.
*Learn Tagalog.

PHYSICAL
*Start working out on a daily basis to stay fit.
*Take a dance lesson: hip hop or ballroom.
*Learn how to swim and snowboard...AGAIN (I've already attempted =P)
*Try a different sport, yoga, hiking, skydiving, or ride a bike more
*Get another tattoo.
*Take more care of body, inside and out: EAT HEALTHY.
*Learn how to apply makeup better.

SOCIAL
*Find my soulmate, my best friend, who I will marry & have a big family with.
*Have a better relationship with my family: MAKE TIME FOR THEM.
*Work on keeping in touch with childhood friends & make new friends.
*Learn from others & from mistakes.
*Meet people with same interests.
*Work on public speaking.

FINANCIAL/MATERIAL
*Provide a better life for my children.
*Discover ways to make money besides 9-5 job: BECOME A MILLIONAIRE! :)
*Invest, save, and pay off any debt.
*Donate money to those unfortunate.
*Take Paris to Disneyworld.
*Have my own photography studio.
*Own different kinds of cameras (especially Canon Rebel).
*Own a Range Rover (for now, own a NEW car).
*Own a house I love.
*Write my will.
*Travel around the world: GO TO HAWAII.
*See a NYC Broadway.
*Be a guest or contestant on a game show.

I know I took forever just to post this new entry, but I'll leave it at that. I will eventually elaborate on things I've already accomplished in my next few entries. 'til next time...
