provide a better life for my children...

I think every parent wants this for their child(ren). you want them to have what you didn't....and MORE! for Chris & I, part of this means exposing Paris to new and different things that get her active and that she may potentially want to pursue if she really loves it. The first thing we exposed Paris to was soccer. I know she loved it because her BFF, Emree, was on her team. But when we asked her if she wanted to keep doing it, it was a no, so unless she brings it up to us again, we're not going to push her about it.

When we asked Paris what she wanted to do next, she mentioned ballet. CHCS happened to have an intramural program going on, which included an introduction class taught by Ballet Virginia International. I believe it started in March, and her last class was this past Tuesday, where they did a little performance afterwards. She made me so proud! The teacher told me personally that Paris should pursue it, maybe not now, but later on, because she's very focused. =) Here is a clip of her dance routine at the end. More video footage of demonstrating their typical class is on my Youtube.

Now that her ballet class is over...we asked what she wanted to do next. She said golf, and then, basketball?? and then, piano lessons. I'm so happy that she wants to try almost anything. I really want to get her swimming lessons, so she can be a better swimmer than I am. thankfully, she's already more brave than I am in the water...especially since Chris is trying to shape her into his lil' surfer girl. hehe.

There are also videos on my Youtube of my babygirl singing a few songs that she wrote herself. She's so creative!!!

with Mother's Day just around the corner, I am definitely proud to be a mother of such a beautiful girl, inside and out! and I look forward to guiding Paris through her own journey in life and making the most of it...
